Tidal today launched the beta edition of its rapid cloud cost analyzer, based on its award-winning application assessment platform. Simply called the Tidal Calculator, this service enables users to visualize the cloud economics of their current infrastructure in minutes, and provides the insights required to form a business case for more transformative cloud migrations too.
“As cloud teams increasingly look at transforming IT by adopting cloud-native technologies like serverless, they have struggled to quickly provide the business case needed to justify the investment in retooling.” said David Colebatch, CEO of Tidal. “Today, we are pleased to provide a free assessment tool to do just that: our Cloud Calculator shows you forecasted costs in the cloud in a lift-and-shift scenario, as well as what you could expect to save when some Replatform and Refactor migrations are included.”
Tidal customers already benefit from a value-based recommendation engine to provide migration teams with a consistent cloud application assessment that aligns with organizational goals. The Cloud Calculator will allow more organizations to justify a transformative migration approach from day-one, and avoid the lift-shift-then-optimize trap.
Supporting AWS, Azure and Google Cloud at launch, the True Cloud Cost Calculator is available today at Calculator.
