Before You Begin: Preparing Azure Access
To integrate LightMesh with Azure, ensure you have:
- The necessary Azure permissions (minimum Reader role access to the target subscription)
- Azure CLI installed on your terminal
How to Set Up the LightMesh + Azure Integration
1. Connect LightMesh to Azure
The setup process is simple and takes less than 5 minutes.
Step 1: Open the Cloud Integrations Panel in LightMesh
- Navigate to the Cloud Section in LightMesh
- Click Cloud Account → Select Azure

Step 2: Authenticate in Azure
- LightMesh provides the command for creating the service principal needed for authentication
- Copy the command and paste it into your Azure terminal
- The terminal prompts for a Subscription ID

Step 3: Find Your Subscription ID in Azure
- Open Azure Portal → Subscriptions
- Select the subscription to link
- Copy the Subscription ID
- Paste it into the terminal and press Enter
This command creates a role assignment automatically for LightMesh, granting read-only access to the subscription.
2. Complete the Integration in LightMesh
Once authenticated, Azure generates four key credentials:
- Application (Client) ID
- Client Secret
- Tenant ID
- Subscription ID
Step 4: Enter Credentials into LightMesh
- Copy each credential from Azure
- Paste each into the corresponding fields in LightMesh
- Click “Finish Adding Account” and your connected
LightMesh will now synchronize with Azure and pull in all VNets, subnets, and IP allocations.
3. Sync and Manage Azure Network Data
Once connected, LightMesh enables:
- Real-time synchronization, no manual updates required
- Full subnet and IP tracking within the LightMesh dashboard
- Instant search and filtering across all Azure networks
- One-click refresh for immediate updates
To verify sync status, click on any subnet in LightMesh—it will display the last sync timestamp and detailed network information.
