WHAT’S NEW WITH US
We’re over-the-moon in announcing our Azure Migrate Integration with the Tidal Platform.
Our philosophy is to leverage any previous discovery and assessment work. If you’ve collected data with Azure Migrate, this new feature will help you move all your inventory data directly into the Tidal Platform, saving time and reducing the risk of error. Once in the platform, you can enhance the data collected with application technology fingerprinting, source code analysis and database analysis, and be well on your way to a transformative migration that yields tangible business impact. Highlight opportunities to embrace Azure App Service and free yourself from legacy application frameworks.

- Google goes all in on hybrid cloud with new portfolio of edge and managed on-prem solutions - At the annual Google Cloud Next conference mid-month, Google announced its broader portfolio for customers that need more options than the public cloud. Rest assured, your specialized workloads will now have a place to call home!
- Ada Lovelace Day: Tech’s most influential women share their views - In honour of a pivotal female force in implementing insights on computing, hear some great insights from some of the most influential women in the tech sector on how we can increase the amount of female voices in the STEM workforce. - WhatsApp now lets users encrypt their chat backups in the cloud - Everyone’s favourite encrypted chat app is now taking care of your backups as well. Hopefully we can all sleep a little easier now, knowing the government can’t get a hold of our best memes.
- Microsoft’s Cloud for Financial Services to be generally available November 1 - Adding on to their previous vertical cloud introductions, all our friends in financial services will soon benefit from their very own industry-specific cloud from Microsoft.
- IBM releases Open Source Cloud Guide, urges developers to contribute - Thinking of a career in the cloud? Whether you’re a seasoned developer or a newbie, now’s your chance to jump in and not only use, but contribute to IBM’s Wikipedia-like Open Source Cloud Guide. See what happens when we share?
- Google Cloud will now show its users their carbon footprint in the cloud - While the cloud is doing good things to reduce energy usage, you may be surprised that your own cloud-use carbon footprint is still nothing to slouch at! Google wants us all to keep a finger on the pulse.
- Goodyear Ventures, Porsche Ventures invest in virtual sensing company Tactile Mobility - Man, our cars are getting good. Tactile Mobility is going to help vehicle manufacturers create car tires that “feel the road,” allowing us to better track road conditions, navigate potholes and generally get more data from our drives.
